Breath, relax, and smile! As March makes it’s way to the end, and we approach the daffodils and golden sun of April, our minds leap into the warmth of spring. We smile about the humming birds and the cute animals that have awakened from their slumber sleep. Above all, as seniors in high school, we have approached the end of college acceptance and soon will make our final decision on where our journey will continue in the future….
All week I waited for Friday to come around because it was the day I would spend quality time with a very special person. I had made reservations at our favorite restaurant and had my wardrobe ready to go after school. When Friday finally came, I was overjoyed to devour the tasty food and spend time with that special someone. She is none other than my loving mother.

This quote is one that I love to repeat in my head, because it brings me back to what truly matters in life and allows me to reflect on my goals. As a senior my head is a layered stack of blueberry pancakes because of college applications, financial aid deadlines, and now applying for scholarships, which is the fluff of whip cream on top of my pancakes.
